She did it!

At 16 months Averi is finally walking! We're so excited, she's been able to walk for months, but a few days ago she just started walking. I didn't want to get my hopes up because she's done that before, changed her mind then crawled again. We went to the Ark at Thanksgiving point and I have a bunch of pictures lower but added this one out of order last minute. Asher looks so old in it. He's so independent and social.

The other night we had Shepperd's pie for dinner and Asher has made it clear that he doesn't like it, but we do and the girls love it. He had also been playing outside and was just hungry and tired. But he was not going to take a bite of his dinner. So instead of making threats I told him that if he ate all of his dinner by 6:00 we could go get ice cream. That gave him about 15 minutes.

He started taking bites and just putting more and more food in his mouth, then he was gagging, then crying and mumbling something. I asked him what was wrong, and he started panicking and yelled, "Mom, you watch the clock!" So I tried to tell him that he had time to eat and if he just kept taking bites he'd be fine. Then the next round of tears came, and he said, "It's just taking forever!" I asked what was and he goes, "my mouth, it's just taking forever to chew." Anyway, we made it to Thanksgiving point and he got blue bubble gum ice cream and was so excited. Now he always asks what time it is then tells me he's scared of the clock.
I checked my email then walked into the kitchen and saw this. So funny, all my kids love blankets, or as Piper would say, "buck-EEE (the e's are in a really cute high pitched voice too).

Piper makes cute faces all day then studies your reaction after making it. I'll have to get a video of her meowing, it's the funniest face!
The girl's first bike ride, Piper touched Averi's arm the whole time and Averi whined because she was too close, good thing we started with a short ride.
Our new additions to the family. Our chickens, we have them outside in a cute little chicken coop now. The kids and neighbors have absolutely loved them! They've turned out to be a lot more fun than I expected, and soon we'll have eggs too.
Reagan, Kaden, and Piper. Piper loves her cousins.
Piper loved getting in the water, I obviously didn't have time to do my hair before hand!
JoyLynn surprised the kids and came right before we left, Averi didn't like the water at all and was happy to sit on Grandma's lap the whole time. She looks so content just sitting and watching everyone else play.
I am so glad that Averi won't have her hands all over the ground, and that her knees won't be scraped along the concrete every time she goes outside. She's so proud of herself too.
I love Piper's face in this picture. She's trying to make a face that lets you know that she knows she's cute!
It takes a lot of concentration to walk outside. I don't think she's ever liked the grass. Playing with dad on the trampoline.
The girls have gotten so much more fun lately. Plus I am only working on Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons and it's made it so that we have a lot more time together. I'm still looking for some exercise that I can do with all three kids but in the mean time I've a had a neighbor girl coming over while I work and so I can exercise so that's been fun. I've been running, biking and swimming training for my first triathlon. It's just a short sprint up in Stansbury Park, but I'm excited for it. I've had a lot of fun training.
