I just wanted to write some of the funny things Asher's been doing. He's just getting so old and opinionated. The other day I was trying to hurry and make breakfast and Asher was just crying and whining because he was so hungry. He climbed up on the chair and we all sat down and I was only focused on feeding him, then he folded his arms and goes, "Pray!" It was so sweet!
So I have been wanting to close off our yard so that Asher can go outside and play without running into the street or over to the park. Matt got the last gate up Saturday, when he was all done we let Asher go play in the backyard to see what he thought of having it all enclosed. Of course he just wanted to go to the park, so he grabbed the gate and just wiggled it for like two seconds, it unlatched and he was on his way!
Asher started showing interest in going to the bathroom on the toilet, so this last week he went on the toilet about 5-6 times. I always tell him that if he poops on the toilet he can have candy. So the other day he did a little then hopped off to flush it. He was watching it go down after he flushed and started crying going "NO! Candy!" He thought he pooped candy. I need to give him something other than chocolate chips for his treats!

Jaci,
I love to hear all of Asher's new tricks. Wouldn't it be funny if he just went and stood in the corner like you were trying to discipline him? That would be an amazing trick. Maybe someday. Cute blog. I guess I'll coment on it from time to time.
That is so funny that he thought he had pooped candy!! It's amazing how entertaining kids are! Thanks for the assistance in making my blog a little more presentable!
I'm laughing so hard, that is the funniest thing that he thought he pooped candy. Poor little guy, he wanted that darn candy!
Hi Jaci & Matt-
Talk about a trip down "memory" lane when I got a message from you on our blog! Wow, I am so glad Boone gave you our blog address so we can keep in touch. I would love to meet you Jaci and your cute son Asher. Yes, we live far away, but we are enjoying New Mexico. Your house looks so beautiful and I wish I had a good hair stylist, since no one around here seems to know much about blonde highlights!
We'll talk to you soon!

Are you freaking kidding me? I have been trying so hard to get David interested in using the toilet, but with no luck. Asher is even younger and supposedly boys potty train later than girls. Run with it man!
Ya, sounds like you better change what you give him for a treat!
Loved the stories. So funny!
That is so funny. It's a good thing you were nearby to regulate the situation, that could've gotten ugly real fast!! I still can't get over how he shows people his hands. It's like the funniest thing ever. Sometimes I do it to Carl to be funny. We get a pretty good laugh
Oh don't you worry, we are definatley planning on many dates to Carrabbas. I love the candy story, I can't believe how big Asher is getting.
Asher is so cute! And you are SO funny! I particularly like the picture of him on the table ignoring you... it is him 100%! And how cute that he wanted to pray before breakfast! Also, I wonder how did you get such a LONG picture of the slide at Kangaroo Zoo??? Love, Mom
(Amy says:) Asher, thanks for letting me read Dr. Seuss with you! You are getting so big! It was fun to see you guys and get some blog pointers AND get my hair done! Thanks!
Oh, our good friends and neigbors Nate and Hilary Cook are related to your friend Inez... she is a sister to Nate. Es un mundo piqueno!
