October at the Moore's

Asher is getting so old now and saying and doing the funniest things. I have been feeling bad because I haven't been writing anything down. Asher has been squeezing into his old costumes that really don't fit him anymore. So I thought, "Well we'll get him a costume early this month and he can wear it all up until Halloween." We found the cutest firefighter costume that he liked. Then we decided we could find something cuter. We couldn't and went back to get that first costume and couldn't find it. But in the meantime Asher asked for it constantly. So we ended up buying a different fire fighter costume. As soon as we got it he just get crying and saying, "I don't want to wear it!" Then when people ask him what he's going to be for Halloween he says a horse. My sister in law had a horse costume and he won't take it off. So he's getting very opinionated!

That just reminded me that lately when Asher and I are going somewhere he has found different roads that he prefers to other roads. He always wants me to go on the back road just off the American Fork main street exit that'll lead to Wendy's and McDonalds. If I go a different way he goes, "No Mom, Go that way!" Then he'll say it like 3 times. Then when we go down that road he starts getting sad and goes, "Mom, I want to be funny!" I don't know where he comes up with this stuff, but it just makes me laugh.

Asher has been very interested with locked doors and keys lately. Sometimes he tries to leave out the front door while we're in the house but the door's locked. Then he runs to me and says, "I need a key the door's locked." It's cute. He says it all the time when he's on the inside of a closed or locked door.

Asher has also been singing. I need to get him to sing on camera. It's so cute! Right now his two favorite songs are twinkle twinkle little star and the itsy bitsy spider. It's so cute.

Yesterday it was so cute, I was sitting down and Asher came up and wanted me to take the babies out so he could play with them. (He asks all the time) So again, I told him that they have to get really big then we can take them out. Then he said ok and then just wanted to give them a kiss. He did then in a really high pitched voice talked to them for a second. It was so sweet. I think that he's going to be a good big brother.

This month Matt and I have tried to do a lot of fun Halloween things with Asher. We did a lot of fun things but forgot our camera every time! One of the best things we did this year was go to the scarecrow festival. They had a ton of blow up toys and Asher had so much fun on those. The day that we went was warm and it really fun. We went with Matt's brother and family.
