Summer at the Moore's

This summer has been so nice. We found out a few weeks ago that I'm pregnant. That makes me due at the end of February. So we are excited. We'll keep you posted when we find out what we're having. I don't really care one way or the other right now. I'm just hoping this 1st trimester will go quickly. I have been a lot sicker with this one than Asher.

The other day while I was working Matt brought Asher to the ice cream truck. I know Asher looks serious in this picture but he was very happy to have ice cream. He asks for it quite a bit. We usually don't have any but I'm sure next time he hears the music he'll need to have it.
On the 24th my brother planned the day for us. It was nice because a lot of years this day has snuck up on us with not very much planned. The plan was a bike ride at 8:30, naps, then a barbeque in Alpine at my parents and games.

It was going great up until nap time. I had scheduled an appointment during Asher's nap. So it was about ten to one and Asher and I were just coming home and I had about ten minutes until my appointment was there and then Asher fell asleep in the car. That's no problem but I realized he was cuddling with a bear and was using a paw as a binkie. Also no big deal but then I thought that it was weird he didn't have his blanket. So a block from my house I realized he had left it at the park on our bike ride. So I turned around and had no idea where the park was, we just go there on bikes and I had no idea how to get there by car. Anyway, I found the park and found his blanket by the bathrooms. What a relief. I was so nervous, I would just die if Asher lost that blanket. It would just crush him.

Then of course my client got here before I did and Asher wanted to stay awake and see her. So that kind of messed up his nap, but nothing two hours of whining and crying can't take care of. He fell asleep again two hours later and slept till we woke him up at 5 for the bbq.

We had a bunch of games to play. My favorite were badminton and duck duck goose. I think I love badminton almost as much as tennis. We'll have to get a set here at our house. Asher loved the fireworks. All the kids lined their chairs up next to each other and Matt did all the work. The kids had fun!!
This was our grand finale. Very spectacular, I know!

Congratulations! It must be a girl if you are more sick this time. (That is how it was with me.) How is the new ward? I hope they didn't put you back in cub scouts. I did not luck out and get a different calling. :( Good luck with the morning sickness.
