Our Families

This last week we've had a lot of family in town. The first person to come was my sister, she came out with her family from Northern California. She just had a little boy so it was so fun to see him. He's so cute! I just love baby boys, they're so sweet. (Little girls are sweet and I love them too)

When they were here we took family pictures. I took a few with our camera, our pictures will make Katie's look even better. She's the best photographer. It was fun to have all the kids together playing in these fields.

This is Kalli and Asher. Kalli is my younger brother's little girl. Asher and Kalli are such good friends. They look innocent enough, but when they get together they just kind of get into trouble. The other day Kalli's mom, Melanie and I were in the house chatting while they were playing in our closed in back yard. After a while we both hadn't heard them for a while so we looked outside and they were just playing at the park. The weird thing is that both gates were closed, so we don't know how they got out!

This is Haley, Carrie's little girl with Asher. We missed so many cute shots of them. They have fun playing together too. Both of my brothers and sister have a kid Asher's age. So it's been fun watching them grow up together. They're all so cute, and SO different!
When Carrie was here her little baby, Ryan was having a hard time sleeping. So as soon as they came to get a swing Asher decided that he was ready to play in it. This is how we found him. This thing is totally packed away, but he had made his way over to it and gotten in. He is just always wearing his helmet. I really need to make sure I get more pictures of him with his hats. He's always got a different one on.

The day Carrie and her family left Matt's older brother from Wyoming and his family came into town. We haven't seen them that much since they moved up there a year and a half ago. Asher has just loved having so many cousins close by. He's going to get used to having everyone here. Mikes kids are all a little older and they still all had so much fun playing.
The first night that they were here we went to Trafalga. Of course we did the batting cages. We have gone there like once or twice a week lately. We just have so much fun there. Last week when we went the basketball game that we like to play was broken, so some guy came to fix it and put like 20 free games on it. We got so many tickets! We got like 3 cap guns, it was the best going home with such great prizes :)

Jordan left his shoes at our house after the batting cages, all the kids came back to our house and just crashed. Asher wore his shoes around the whole next day.

Friday night Matt's parents got here and we all got together at a park in cedar hills. As soon as we got there Mikes wife, Amy found a baby rattler. I hate snakes and couldn't enjoy the evening because I was too worried about Asher getting bitten by a snake. Then the next morning Matt and I went on a bike ride and found a huge snake. Ever since I posted about hating to see snakes on trails I have seen one or two a week. We must both wait for warm days then try to warm up on the same trails!
Then Saturday night we had our favorite babysitter, Jade. And we all went to Carrabbas. We go there so much that we've gotten to know the owner's and managers. They told us that when we eat there we don't have to wait and they'll seat us right away. So we called them ahead of time to let them know we were bringing our family. And when we got there right during their rush they walked us to our table and acted like they were SO excited to see us and to meet our parents. It was fun. We kind of felt like celebrities!

So that's been our last couple of weeks. I'll put our pictures up if they turn out good. They should, and we're way excited to see them.

Whoa, that was quite the festivities the last few weeks. No wonder we haven't hung out that much.

I do want to see the family pics when you get them. And, I loved the first picture of Asher in his flip flops; such a cute idea!

It sure was great to see you guys!! It was so much fun getting to spend some time with Asher, he sure is a cute little guy. We went out and took a look at your family pictures and they were great! Amy and I especially liked the whole group shot of all of you jumping in the air. Mattie can still get up in the air for a big guy!!
